Spiritual Works of Mercy:
- To instruct the ignorant; ( Pharisees), our examples given,
- To counsel the doubtful; ( Apostle Thomas),
- To admonish sinners; ( Pope Peter),
- To bear wrongs patiently; ( Mary, Our Mother),
- To forgive offenses willingly; ( Blessed Trinity, as ourselves)
- To comfort the afflicted; ( with grace & mercy)
- To pray for the living and the dead. (St Gertrude the Great)
The stream of the river make the city of God joyful: the most High hath sanctified his own tabernacle (Ps46:4) You have come?…. to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to the company of many thousands of angels, And to the church of the firstborn, who are written in the heavens, and to God the judge of all, and to the spirits of the just made perfect, (Heb12:22-23)
Glorious things are said of thee, O city of God (Ps87:3)
Never again will you be called “The Forsaken City” or “The Desolate Land.” Your new name will be “The City of God’s Delight” and “The Bride of God,” for the LORD delights in you and will claim you as his bride ( Is62:4)
